Hello,
When I look at ebay I can see much availability of photoresist sheets.
But dry film soldermask is a more difficult animal to find.
Would it be possible to substitue regular phororesist for a solder mask - or is there something special about the polymer film in a solder mask versus a regular photoresist used for etching?
Thanks!
:)

no you cannot use dry film photoresist in place of dry film soldermask

Thanks!

What will happen - after I cure the photoresist it will just melt when I use solder near it? It's a different plastic is it?

i have not used dry film soldermask. i tried for it but everybody is telling it is a outdated one and some people like dupoint having it and rate is high
i used liquid type soldermask and gives good result
