What about this:
suppose we want to filter out fundamental F0, and get only 2*F0 harmonic. Classical: We can make filter at 2*F0.
But also we can make filter at 2*F0 / 3, and use it's third resonance.

Example:
LO = 5GHz, second harmonic = 10GHz. Instead of doing 10GHz band-pass,
We make filter for 10GHz/3 = 3.33GHz and tune it in such way, that it's third maximum is around 10GHz.

I dout it can be useful at 47GHz and higher, where super experienced people work...

So, how is this idea?
