Hey,
I want to bring USB 2.0 signals from a backplane to Eurocard boards.
The boards have DIN 41612 connectors with three rows of pins.
Can I bring the USB signals to the boards through these connectors?
I thought about using 12 pins of a 3 by 4 matrix: 4 times GND on the first row and 4 times GND on the third row. And on the second row I would use the according 4 pins for GND, D+, D-, VBUS.
I believe that the impedance would be too high despite the many GND pins.
But maybe it would be ok because the distance from the backplane to the boards is not very long.
Has anyone here already tried something like that and succeeded or failed?
Regards,
Hi-Q
