I am using RS232 to USB Converter,
but i felt that it is costlier, I'm using CP2010 Silicon Lab Ic,

It's avaliable only in SMD component, I need that same IC in DIP Package or any other alternative IC for USB to Serial Conversion!.......

DIP Package IC

MAX232 is a well known IC. I'm sure you will find it in reasonable prices if you search the web. If you didn't care about the case, then you could propably find it even cheaper.

EDIT: Incorrect IC given. I was thinking something else. Sorry for that.

The requirement was for an "alternative IC for USB to Serial Conversion" so MAX232 doesn't seem to fit.

There are CP2102 modules in ebay for just $2 but I'm not sure if you could utilize them in your project or if the requirement is for a bare chip to be used on your board.
