sending data to pc from mcu

hello all
if i need to contact an mcu using usb from a pc,,so a data from the usb will be sent to the mcu,and i want to interface this data to the mcu so i think i will use usb to serial IC rite
but how about if i want to send data from the mcu to the computer is there anything to send from serial (mcu) to usb on the computer
there is a usb to serial is there a serial to usb
and if there is none wut to do to solve this interfacing problem
thanx alll

When you use a USB to serial convertor, there appears on the PC a virtual serial port which behaves exactly like a normal serial port. Like COM5. Once this does, you can send data from PC to MCU or MCU to PC, both ways. So your serial to USB and USB to serial is one and the same thing.

Hi

usb to serial will work both ways
Check this link

under USB to RS-232 and RS-485 you can find a lot of information
