For my project I have to interface mobile with microcontroller, the mobile only have USB out (actually data cable have mini USB and USB on either side). So I am searching for microcontroller which have direct USB input.

which microcontroller accepts data from USB and where can I get it ?

The PIC18F4550 has USB.

Dwengo... gets you started with microcontrollers!

Don't get confused, you can only connect a host to a device.

If you have two devices they cannot be connnected together.

The phone is a device and the PIC18F4550 is a device as well.

You need to get a microcontroller with a USB host and this can be connected to the phone.

FTDI's VNC1L adds host capability to MCU

have a look on USB On-The-Go (OTG), I think PIC18F4550 support OTG which can make a communication between two USB devices.

No PIC18F4550 doesn't have USB OTG. I found that Atmel AVR USB1287 and PIC24FJ32GB004 supports USB OTG. Have you ever used it ?
What is your experience ?

Do you mean my experience or the author experience?
SL11H embedded host from cypress.
