USB 2.0 PHY (UTMI) ------Can someone clarify my doubt ???

I am planning to implement USB2.0 PHY's (UTMI) digital part. I have got some basic doubts while reading UTMI spec version 1.05.

1) What is meant by "Downstream facing port" and "Upstream facing port" ??

2) What is meant by "Down stream port" and "Upstream port" ???


Does question numbers 1 & 2 mean the same ???

Someone please help me out.

AKP,

There is no difference between down stream facing port and down stream

port.

Down stream facing port / down stream port ---> host
up stream facing / up stream port ----> device/ peripheral
