Hi. I am trying to connect/interface an Atmega32 to my laptop through USB. I am comfortable enough with USART but i am new to USB.

Is there any code available online that i can use to transmit data through USB?

Can any of you suggest/post small example code for AT90USB* based micro's using winavr gcc?

Is there any IC that i can use to convert RS-232 communication to USB... Like a 2 way converter module.....

Thanks for your help in my previous questions. This site is awesome!

I think you can find some sample code directly at the ATMEL site. Or you can have a look at AVR Freaks, a great source for AVR coders.
For USB to 232 conversion, you can use FT232 from FTDI. Maybe is not the cheapest way to do so, but you get two big advantages:
1) it's very quick, basically you need the chip itself and 4-5 external components and that's all
2) there are a lot of devices that adopt FT232, in facts so many that most operating systems (Windows included) have a built-in USB driver for that chip.

Check AT90USBKEY devboard examples. There are HID examples, very easy to understand and implement. I've used HID keyboard example for my projects. AVR Studio or IAR examples available afaik.

I read these messages and have learned alot about USB peripheral .:|
Thanks Friendz...
