verilog-xl 2001

1. Does verilog-xl support open files with different way, such as read, write, append? How to run verilog-xl so that it can recognize
$fopen("...","w")?

2. How to let verilog-xl compatible with v2k?

Thanks a lot!

verilog xl 2001

1. NC-verilog supports opening file in read, write, append modes... So I think verilog-xl also do..

2) what is v2k??

V2K means verilog-2001, verilog-xl is a old tool, so it don't support

verilog-2001. If you codes you verilog source code with some verilog-

2001 feature, the verilog-xl will report error.

verilog 2001 + xl

I think if you want to use verilog-2001 standard writing codes, you'd better chose nc-sim or modelsim 5.8d or vcs.
