I have three chains of 3 LED's and one resistor in series. These 3 chains are then connected in parallel.
Each LED has 3.6V
I am needed to run this circuit coming up with my own reasonable values.
Any ideas of how much my current,resistance and voltage of each and every component should be like ?
You need to know the current that the LED's require at a particular voltage drop (3.6V?) - it should be given. Without that you can't determine what resistance is needed.
Assuming each led drops 3.6 volts (which sounds high to me) you need a supply voltage of at least 3*3.6=10.8. So, let's use a 12v supply. Assume each led needs 10mA--now you can calculate what the three series resistors should be: (12-10.8)/R=10mA-->R=1.2/.01=120 ohm. Now, do I get your diploma? ;--)
