You can snip the wire and replace it with an approximately similar gauge of wire, to reassemble L1/L2 if you're concerned.
Make sure the gauge is not less (higher is ok). You can check the gauge with a micrometer, or just manually compare it if you're in a
store that sells wire. However, that's only necessary if the wire is damaged (check to see if it is broken). From your second photo, it looks
nice and thick and clean; unlikely to be damaged. In a good design, the fuse would be damaged, not the L1/L2.
