Hello,
I would like to uninstall modelsim but it doesn't seem to be turning
up on the add/remove programs menu. :?:

Could anyone tell me if there is another way to uninstall modelsim. Is
there some kind of a uninst.exe or similar file which needs to be run?

I was not able to find it. Or is there a way to add this entry into the add/remove programs menu?

Hope to hear from you,

Aijaz

A "ModelSim . . ." entry normally appears in the Windows Add/Remove Programs list. Maybe your installation process wasn't fully successful.

Here's the uninstall command (found in the Windows registry) for a ModelSim SE 6.3d installation. The PE command may be similar, but I'm not sure:
C:\WINDOWS\IsUninst.exe -fC:\Modeltech\win32\Uninst.isu

Hello there,
Thanks for suggesting that.
I looked up the folders in my section and got down to the following command to be executed:

"C:\WINDOWS\IsUninst.exe -fC C:\Modeltech_pe_edu_6.3c\win32pe_edu\uninst.isu"

and it gives me the following error "Unable to locate the following installation log file 'C'..is such a log file only pertaining to modelsim..i mean should i look for such a log file in the modelsim folders or does it belong to the windows environment?

I hope to hear soon,

Best Regards,
Aijaz

Are you sure your command string has that isolated "-fC" in the middle? That doesn't seem right.

When you installed ModelSim, did it go smoothly? If it didn't, try re-installing it, and then maybe the uninstaller will appear in the Add/Remove Programs list.
