Hi,

Good job. But I feel PID has different kind of responses to different kind of environments, like Heater, Motor, Gas Flow/pressure, Air Flow/pressure etc. Especially in heaters there are various combinations like how far the sensor is from heater, how fast the heater heats and cools, what is the medium in which the heater is runing etc. And each field is unique and requires some kind of tunning or gain settings. Theoritically PID is universal but not practically I feel we cannot make universal. Any idea on universal PID that is what I am hunting for.

This does not meant for discouraging you. You have definately put efforts to create the tutorial. And this is very good.

I think universal PID cannot exist because the nature of every type of machine....heater, motor, etc. is different. Different physical principles are involved in each and hence the route the system takes from its initiation to its termination at the final point varies. Universal PID can atmost become a theoretical concept but I dont think it is practicallt realisable.
