Hello,
1-I'm an undergraduate student "electronics and communications engineering" .What should I study or learn to make my caree in VLSI?
2-what's the relation betwwen VLSI and FPGA
I've formed a group for the final year project "next year".Suppose that my project is a simulation of a microprocessor using FPGA or All-In-One-Chip microcontroller including resistors clocks .......
what's knowlege should we gain to be able to complete such thing at the end of the next year?
thanks in advance

You have to take vlsi specialization in post graduation courses.. in that again front end and back end design is there according to your choice.. learn mainly vhdl, verilog, ASIC, digital design is basis of all. for verification system verilog, system c so on... once you get into the field you get to know all these stuff.

FPGA is a part of vlsi, where they are readily available reprogrammable soc you can say..

You have know hdl languages for designing of micro processors, some tools like xilinx synthesis tool for synthesis of you code and quest, model sim for simulation and debugging purpose
