i need some ideas , What are the most important applications that can be used for home / factory automation , and at the same time can be built by anyone good in the field of electronics ?

HI Friend,

I feel these are quite essential in customer point of view for automation in Home...

:idea:Switching ON/OFF the appliances
:arrow: Avoiding the manual switching of Fan/ Light when one enters/leaves a room
:arrow: Scheduled operation of appliances like heater,TV etc
:arrow:Semi automation of Kitchen like automating Toaster, Or Chopper that can prepare a salad...

:idea:Authentication or Logging in
:arrow:How about the automatic door

u can also make a proximity sensor
and all the application of the proximity sensor comes in picture from
security alarms to automatic doors

you can make level measuring & controller-distance meter ,flow meter,ultrasonic for clinic application
speed meter whit pulse dupler method,.....
 

Hi,
As for clinic, one easy thing is automatic pulse counter and stethoscope.
And Proximity sensors are mostly RF based. That is they donot cover the entire ultrasonics band. Users should check for the band availabiltity to them.
