Hello,

In my project, I need to detect whether some itens are in a table. These items are cables (plastic), boards (ESP32, Arduino) and etc, thus using a small form factor UHF RFID tag (about 5 or 6mm) is ideal. Would I be able to detect these tags with a far field antenna positioned 1.5m away? No obstacles in between.

Requirements:
  • 5 or 6mm UHF RFID tag (no brand preferences)
  • Far field UHF antenna, placed 1.5m away (no brand preferences)
I don't know if this combination is feasible whatsoever, neither do I know how can I 'predict' if a kit (RFID antenna + tag) will work well together. I would appreciate so much any information or tip on this problem

If someone could give me some steps/guidelines in order to know if a kit is feasible I would be very grateful!

Thanks in advance
