Is it feasible to design and install mechanical password lock in two wheeler vehicles (excluding bicycles) for storage ?.

The two wheeler vehicle user will lock and unlock the storage area using password.

Reference : Mechanical password lock in Suitcases / Briefcases.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,

You mean the storage compartment(s) and using a combination padlock instead of a key?

Obviously, it's more than feasible to fit lock type x or lock type y, so long as you are the manufacturer of the storage box/motorbike.

Why would you ask if you already know that suitcases and briefcases have them? - The proof of concept is there in both cases.

It would be far more interesting to use RFID or facial or voice recognition some other kind of electronic system. A battery of kinetic energy-harvesting devices could be used to power a reciever in the box/briefcase which could power a nanobot-solenoid which is activated and deactivated by a key fob/a hand gesture/a special utterance/thumbprint and retina recognition scanner.

Thought control of electronic devices would be the next advance I'd like to see in the near future.
