TV channels , volume and other functions automatically changing

My sony trinitron ha21m80 TV automatically changing channnels and volume.

what is the probable cause ?? and It will be great help if some one suggests a possible solution

Hello jbisht,

one probable cause is, that the keypad (S001 - S006) of your TV has problems. I've had it that the leakage resistance between the contacts is to low.

You can try to clean it with pure isopropyl alcohol (100%).

also there may be some short in circuit due to faulty design

but this is quite rare try cleaning the remote and then even if the problem continues better take it to an authorized dealer
