Hi,

I will be measuring on a two port device mounted on PCB (2GHz). The distance from SMA connector to the component is D. For this I had planned to make a PCB TRL kit made up of short, open and load (placed D from the connector), a thru (length 2D) and a line (length 2D+d). Now, the VNA I have available is a HP8753D and I have learned that this equipment doesn't support "true" TRL calibration as the HP8510 (that I have used before) does. So, the question is; is the TRL concept valid here or should I do it in some other way?
