rally trip meter

Hi All,

I am looking for a design for a Trip Meter or Odometer for a Rally Car, similar to a Brantz or Terratrip - something simple to record mileage using a hall efect sensor or similar on the car's wheel.

Does anyone have some links they'd like to share?
