Colleagues,

I'm designing a transimpedance amplifier for sensing a 3nA DC current. I have found this schematic (picture below) and I like it. However, I'd like to add some low-pass filtering. Where should I add the capacitor(s)? In parallel with R2? Can I get a 2-pole filter or only 1-pole?

Thanks,
Nick

Pixel,

Thanks a lot for the scan! What book is it from?

Could you also look at another problem:
Basically, I need to make a transimpedance amplifier that would sink current, produce positive output and use a single supply rail. Do you think it’s possible?

This is scan from a Sergia-Franco´s book Desing with operational amplifiers. It is not available in download area, buit you can find same topic in this book:
