guys,1)u know a transformer has a 2 leads @ one side and 3 leads on the other side!so the input will be on the 2 lead side that is (+) & (-). and the output from the 3 lead side.my doubt is the 2 corner leads are + and - and what is the middle lead for!
2)if the input is 220V AC to the transformer and will the output be DC(direct current)!
3) and tell me what is the value of this transformer " https://www.flickr.com/photos/shravanbindra/4125504618/ "
1) Seems to be a transformer with a center tapped winding
2) No, surely AC. How do you know, that the transformer is rated for 230 V? It doesn't look like.
3) You have to know the manufacturer respectively vendor specification
so the input will be on the 2 lead side that is (+) & (-). and the output from the 3 lead side.my doubt is the 2 corner leads are + and - and what is the middle lead for!

Transformors doesnt opearte on DC. Thus No polarities + or -.
Output will be DC only if the AC output is rectifie.
The transformor shown on the given link is a 3volt Output transformor used in old transsitor radios.
Cheers
