hi people, i am new to this site so be gentle.
I did a experiment using a 12A resistive load at college with a 5kva 230/110 step down transformer the results i got are: 238v Up, 115v Us, 11.47A Is, 6.07A Ip.
What could i learn from this about efficiency and losses and hysterisis.
all help appreciated.
thank you for replying to my question, but could you tell me more about how you got to 91% efficiency.Do you know anything about iron losses?
regards martin.
Results that you already have allow you to calculate only total efficiency, without being able to distinguish which part of losses is caused by copper winding and which is due to core hysteresis + eddie currents ..
Goto: **broken link removed**
to learn about simple methods of measuring separately copper and core losses ..
