I use an application called "Beyond Compare 2" to compare netlists and BOMs. It is quick and easy to use. Comparing new netlists and BOMs after making schematic mods is a great way to ensure that you made the changes correctly.
You can use the Design compare option in Allegro to compare the design changes between two revisions.
Procedure:
Name the board without changes as reva.brd
Import the new/ECO netlist into the reva.brd and save it as revb.brd.
Now you have the board with two revisions as reva.brd and revb.brd
Use the option under menu Tools > Design Compare to compare both the boards. <filename>.xml file will be extracted for netlsit and package list comparision. You can save the comparision report also.
