looks like greek and latin

Hi,
I am new to Physical Design & when ever I see a timing report(magma) it seems a lot of info for me. I have no idea where from I need to start for analyzing the reports.
My colleagues just have a look at the reports and start to mention terms like:
1. path is meeting,
2. time has been borrowed,
3. this path can be optimized,
4. this path is not meeting because of constraints,
5. this is a half cycle path,
6. this path has more cell delay,
7. this data path will not meet timing,
8. deration has been applied,
9. clock latency has been applied;

Guys, can you help me on this, I am really a my wits end

Hi,

Basically you need to go through Static Timing Analysis(STA) to understand regarding timing. Search in this forum for the same you will get tons of material.

When you get any doubts/question on STA while reading post it. We will help you.

You can start with this. I have not looked at it but many people have got benefited.

Good Luck.

Regards,
