When designing a DC power supply using 3-phase input / full wave bridge (6-diode) - how do I size the (3-phase) transformer and upstream circuit breaker before the rectifier, if I know the max. DC current?

Formulas aplenty for single phase; 3-phase, not so much!

Thanks in advance for any tips.

The average current is the same for AC side and DC side.

Now, I'm not very familiar with english terminology for circuits breakers so bear with weird words.

What you need to find is the maximum peak current on the AC side. This will depend on the load and also the output capacitor. And you'll have to compare this against the datasheet for the CB.
