Hello,
I have a question regarding three phase motor power. On motor the current is given for one phase. Then the power given on the motor is for one phase.
If a three phase motor is 1kW, is it in realty 3kW motor?
Can someone give me a simple answer, whether a 1 kW three phase motor is actually a 3kW motor. Yes I have searched internet it gives general power formula.
The question was already answered.
1 kW labeled motor is 1 kW motor, it can supply 1 kW mechanical power (specific torque at rated speed) at the shaft. Electrical real power consumption with full load is slightly higher, e.g. 1.1 kW.

Rated phase current will be considerably higher than rated motor power/(3 * phase voltage) because motor is consuming a lot of reactive power. This may have led you to wrong conclusion about motor power.
