Diode model

Hi

I've got a board with 2 different diodes in a melf package(cylindrical 5mm long 2,5 radius) I'd like to know their name.
on the first there is a 'Z' and '18' is this a 18V zener??
the other has got a purple line around its black body. How can i replace it?

thanks

Z18 is Zener diode but no idea about value

look here...
this manual is very useful!!!!
for all kinds of semiconductors...

Have a lot of fun!! (steal... xD)

https://bking_size.spymac.com/ECG.rar

or here... is similar...

Re: Diode model

I can't open first link.....

Re: Diode model

hi
yes its a zener diode and you r also ok too that its a 18 ref. volts diode.
but its unable to tell you about the second ones value but the circle on the diode is indicatind that side of the diode is the anode one.

Re: Diode model

hi vicky,

the second diode has got one black circle indicating katode and a second purple circle near first one.... i think it can indicate its value like colors indicates values on resistos.

i never saw this kind of diode.

i can say that it is mounted at the end of a 5 line leds. i think it only needs against polarity inversion. what do you think?

the first diode(zener) instead i mounted in parallel with these leds.

thanks for help
