The LED of several colours

Last week, I saw a lot of LED at the electronics market.I doubt about the operating of LED which shine the colours.I would like to know the principle of this LED.
 

There are plenty of these around now. The led contains 3 emitters Red, Blue Green. By altering the relative intensities the full colour spectrum can be achieved.
