I have just install the hspice(version 2004),
but when I typed hsgui to enter the discovery-ams gui,it gives me this message

"could not find the help command files"

I installed hspice in /synopsys/hspice
the hsgui(55mb) resides in /synopsys/hspice/linux

and when I tried to find what the causes, I noticed that some scripts named "help" "help1" "help2"... lay in /synopsys/hispice/hsgui/ .......Can anyone tell me whether they are actually what I need. if it is don't know where they should be put to,or that I missed some Evironment variables in .bashrc which can tell the hsgui how to find these file.

do you setup the path of hgui in you .bashrc ?
you can refer to the guide of install.

I do set a path to
/synopsys/hspice/bin
and to
/synopsys/hspice/linux
the install guide just intruct me to setup a the path /sysnopsys/hspice/bin and the license path.

when I run hsgui outside its original directory( .hspice/linux),it prompts me that can not find libdp40.so,and even didn't go into a gui and tell me it lacks the command file.

libdp40 is the file I copy from synopsys/hspice/hsgui/tcl-dp/linux ,and after I give this file to synopsys/hspice/linux,at least the hsgui(type the command in hspice/linux) can start a graphic interface then tell me it is wrong.

it seems like that the libdp40 is not placed in right dir.
copy this file to the linux lib file dir and try.

thanks for your reply, the problem of libdp40 is solved
but the help command files still can not be find

Could you tell me how to solve the problem of libdp40.so??
I also have the problem about hsgui.
thanks

You should use command "hspicegui" instead of "hsgui"
hspicegui is a shell which will setup the enviroment for hsgui then call hsgui.
Good luck !!
