maxim adc matlab fft

dear everybody,

In my simulation, a FFT is needed to define the SFDR of the first 1xS/H.
I had tried DFT in spectre, FFT in spiceexplore. But it's disappionted that
I cannot handle them.

So I wish somebody could give me help. thx a lot.

For the output of SH ideally is a continus time, discrete values waveform,
when i choose the dft in the calculator of spectre, then a period must be
choosed, so how can i choose them? And can this dft handle the operation
i want?

That script is used to test DUT.
But for me, I just want to simulate the circuit, and the output of the one-gain
S/H circuit is sampled analog signal against digital(the output of whole ADC).

So ...

spectre fft

you should got the final value of S/H output at each hold phase. Then perform FFT to calculate the SNDR & ENOB.

maxim adc with fft

You should use the "printvs" function in your calculator (if you are using cadence). This will create a text file that you can export to Matlab (or some other software) to run a fft. You need to run a fft because most likely (I don't know what speed you're running your ADC at) the dft will be insufficient because you need to have a lot of samples (because half them are garbage), which will probably freeze your machine. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
