The difference between Imtools and Imgrd files

we often use the Imtools and Imgrd to install a license file, is there any difference between these two files
 

imgerd

They do two different things.

The lmgrd is the license server, it runs all the time and grants permission for your programs to run.

The lmtools is a utility for installing the license, start & stop the server, etc.
