Which is the best CAD software for electrical drawings (automation, PLC) ?

For professional drawings the AutoCAD is the best as it has built-in blocks and also compatible to PDF, Word and image files.
For PCB designing it is the best but its takes some time to be master on its command its measurement is precise without error.
Also we can import built-in design from the library.

But for real-time electrical simulation the Proteus is best as it works on accurate time. One should design its circuit in proteus before making hardware so can judge the output correct or incorrect.

But if you want to make your drawings in small scale use Multisim for electrical drawing and Express PCB for PCB designing as these tools are simple and easy to master on it.

Hi, There is free plugin for AutoCAD for calculating total lengths of cables.

MeteorSpec has an editable Data Library, which means that you can always have a set of cables that you need for your work.

MeteorSpec can generate reports as specifications (summarized lengths per cable type) or as explications (list of all cables with detailed information).

Hi, I use Autocad LT for electrical drawing and single line diagrams but before some time we start with Eplan P8 for multi line diagrams. In my opinion, Autocad is very easy for learning and using and it is user friendly, opposed to Eplan which is disaster for new users. I try to find on web some helpful manuals and tutorials or some book for buy on Amazon for start with Eplan but i can not find nothing special..
If someone had the same problem with learning Eplan, please post some tutorials, example which can help ?
