The idea for this device came from professional air fumigation with ozone. Ozone is created during the electrical discharges when O2 decomposes into two oxygen molecules and links again with O2, producing ozone molecule – O3.
An ozone generator using a corona discharge was made. In the original, the discharge should occur on the outside, on a metal braided line. But due to loo low tension, the discharge occurs inside the wire. Despite, the amount of ozone produced is sufficient.
The picture below shows the schema of ozone generator.

A high tension power supply was made of a FLYBACK from an old TV set and a simple NE555 generator.
It's quite similar to one showed in the schema below.

The circuit used differs from the one showed in the schema. It doesn't have a bipolar transistor as a driver, but a FET BUZ11 controlled directly from NE555 and NE555 itself is powered by stabilized tension.
The whole device was mounted in a wooden housing from an old speaker and wrapped in lining.
As a power supply, an old power supply from Fujitsu notebook was used. It gave 16V tension and \ about 3A current.
A list of useful elements:
  • FLYBACK (from an old TV set)
  • glass tube (the best diameter of 15-16mm from the outer, with the cut-off end)
  • copper wire on electrode – for example a core from the antenna cable
  • metal mesh for the other electrode
  • elements for the generator (NE555 + BUZ11)
  • fan from a computer
  • a little wood and plexiglass
  • rubber-tubing (aquarium or car)
  • power supply (voltage 12-18V AC minimum of 2A)
ATTENTION! In this project there is a dangerous tension 10-20KV. Use caution when starting.
