pa mixer test

Hi, everyone. I have a simple question about the test equipments required for testing the RF power amplifier, mixer and frequency synthesizer.

1. For RF power amplifier, in order to test its P1dB, Saturation power, and output IP3, besides the vector network analyzer, what are other equipments needed?

2. For the mixer, how to characterize its conversion loss and noise figure?

3. For frequency synthesizer, beside the spectrum analyzer, what other equipments are needed to test it?

Thanks.

1. Power Meter (peak, average, RMS, etc), Two RF Signal Generators with multiple modulations, Spectrum Analyzer, Load Pull Tuners, Power Supply with accurate current and voltage readings.
2. Network Analyzer, Two RF signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzer with NF measurement option.
3. Spectrum Analyzer with Phase Noise measurement option, Modulation Domain Analyzer for settling time measurements, Frequency meter.

I think for PA, based on your request: P1dB, Psat testing. Besides 3 Power Meters (peak, average, RMS, etc), Two RF Signal Generators with multiple modulations, Spectrum Analyzer, you only need attuators, two couplers. also maybe you need a driver as well as the DC supplers.
