In my simulation, I add a terminal wave port, and it comes along with a terminal. The size of the port is larger than that of the terminal (as the microstrip line demands). I think that it is only the terminal (not the port) that produce signal. However, when I begin the simulation, I found its S parameter was about -5dB when the size of the port is five times that of the terminal's, which is very bad. But when I change the size of the port to about fifty times the size of the terminal's, its S parameter becomes much better.
How does it happen?
