Hello,

I am designing a waveguide polarizer in my CST Studio Suite 2023 and to track the figures of merit, I defined a waveguide port at the input and placed an E-field probe at the output. This way I imagine I can get a good picture of what the field propagating looks like after passing through the polarizer. However, I have an issue with using the field probe and can't work my way around it.

I have defined my probe's position using a parameter, specifically (0 0 WaveguideLength). Unfortunately, CST has to interpret this parameter using its value during execution and the E-field probe results lose parametrization, i.e. their names become "E-field (0 0 39)(Abs) [1(1)]" etc. This is especially painful when optimizing my polarizer design since my next step is to adjust its length, re-define all post-processing variables manually and check its performance, all after every parameter value change, i.e. in each optimization step.

Thank you so much in advance for any suggestions or if you have any ideas on how to do a broadband evaluation of the magnitude and phase of individual modes at the output of my waveguide polarizer.
