Lately I had problem how to receive and control TV signal at my satellite receiver on phone or computer (MAC PC) at any place on earth where Internet is available.
I’ ve bought SLINGBOX SOLO that allow to : live video and audio streaming via internet.
Slingbox consist inside IR transmitter ( the same as in RTV remote controls)
Transmitter can be set to send signal to any device you need.
Problem is that 90 % of devices that works SLINGBOX , work only in USA or Australia. Most devices in Europe or Asia doesn’t consist codes to control.
So I’ve bought self-teaching remote control that can be plug to PC. I’ ve built JP1 interface that takes data from remote control.
Because I couldn’t find any protocols for echostar European remote controls, and those from USA that works with DishNetwork are incompatible I need to use self – teaching remote control.
I place original DVR-7400 remote control visa vie self – teaching and pressing all buttons one after another at original. Self – teaching learn all signals, and show that via flash.
After procedure I plug self-teaching to interface and download files from PC using IR.exe software from http://www.hifi-remote.com
Decond phase of programming is to fit codes to slingbox, using Slingbox SOLO. Here’s producer link http://www.slingmedia.com/
Remote Master is helpful with that. It can convert codes from IR.exe to another that are compatible with your device like Slingbox, or another universal remote control.
Each code from IR.exe must be copy to Remote Master and describe POWER=POWER, CH+=CH+ and more.
At the end : Export binary upgrade. *.bin file is made. SLINGBOX works with bin files.
Live TV I watch on cell phone or laptop using SLING PLAYER or SLINGPLAYER MOBILE.
