can someone tell me if a modified sine wave inverter is okay to use in TV. and if we plug the avr 110Vac-220Vac (the we use for computers) in the output of the inverter, will it help to produce a good 220Vac. the only available inverter near our place is a modified sine wave, our project is to make an inverter and use it to power the TV.

Modern TVs are usually specified for 90 to 260 V AC input as all use a switching power supply inside which can accept the complete input ACvoltage range.
If your particular TV only is specified for 220 VAC, then a 110/220 V inverter should work, too. Only please make sure that the inverter does not generate overvoltage with a low-power load like a TV. I would advise to first measure the power input of the TV , with a normal 110/220 V transformer (generates a sinusoidal voltage). Then use an inverter capable to deliver the output power ~ 25 W higher than the TV needs, and connect a 25 Watt lamp in parallel with the TV, to the 220 V terminals.
Observe the lamp light; if it stays steady , all is OK. If it blinks or the light becomes, too brilliant, the inverter might damage the TV and should be redesigned. Some commercial inverters can behave like that with a varying power load .
