This original home made tattoo machine was made of a toothbrush mechanism. A tip of a pen (without a ball which distributes the ink) was also added (it is marked orange in the picture draw in Paint). A string goes through that ball and thanks to that the needle is in the center and moves in a straight line. The string is sharpened and clamped between the pink and silver sleeve. Blue tip of a pen with a thread should be put on when the housing is assembled. In the end, add the silver tip of a pen that leads the string.

On the silver tip there is a tip of a pen (without the ball) glued. That tip should have as small hole as possible – adapted to the string, which gives the best possible straight conducting the string. The silver tip is laso equipped with three rendered holes, so the needle can get more ink because there is freerer air flow and you do not have to dip the device in the ink so often.
