tachometer with optical sensor

i have to use 89C2051 micro-controller.
pls help with this. we have to measure speed of rotating shaft and measure it using uc.
display it on lcd...
pls reply people as early as poss...

actually i have searched for prpojects and found the required one. the only problem i am facing is the micro-controller used is 89C52 instead of 89C2051. however it is mandatory for us to use the uc mentioned later.
so can you pls tell me wht r the changes to be done....
pls reply as early as poss... we have to start the project soon.
