The column of the drill is made of furniture rails screwed to aluminum profile 20x30mm.
The whole is screwed to a piece of furniture tabletop. Wiper motor with a handle was taken from a broken PIKO drill. The handle was mounted on the motor shaft after mild rolling the shaft and then pasted using a two component adhesive. SW limit switch was located on a piece of plate that retains the stiffness of the column, starts the engine after lowering it about 15mm.
Rubber from a band to collect blood and additionally a spring were used as a feedback mechanism. The device is powered by a 14,5V rectifier.
Drilling is very fast and convenient.
