HI all,

I have a small question which i am getting confused with,

I am testing a track and hold (on silicon) and want to see the spectrum of output on a spectrum analyzer. But, unlike a sample and hold , the track portion of the output would end up messing things up , i guess. I feel that i just need the spectrum of only the hold phase points and not the track phase.

So, please let me know if it is anyways possible to take the spectrum of T/H in spectrum analyzer directly? as in that case the input to the spectrum analyzer will be both track and hold portions and not just hold portion.

Please help me in understanding it.

thanks in advance.

Do you imagine a specific information, that you want to get from spectrum analysis in this application? I think, it's almost
meaningless. At best, you can see the bandwidth in track mode.
