synplify linux

When running Synplify under linux the license dialog shows the last two digits of the MAC as the HOSTID, such as "e4", "82". But if I use that number as a hostid in license file, it always give out an "invaild host" message, and the same happen when using the MAC. Can anyone help me sorting out this problem?

Thank you in advance,
stUch
