I am currently using TSMC process and would like to switch to UMC process. What files should I change? cds.lib? Any other thing I need to pay attention? Also can I enable both processes at the same time so that I don't need to keep changing the files?

Thanks

You need the tech lib. If need layout something, then design rule/check rule.
If you want to migrate the process, you only need to change the reference lib from TSMC to UMC. Cadence will do it for you.

For different process it's better to create different database for circuit and layout.
Different foundry can use different model names and different models for simulation, and different design rules for layout.

I think all the process dependent data file should all changed as well. Fro example , the spice model file used and the verilog model etc should be chnaged .
Not only the Cadence data base.

I think all the circuits should be resimulated, If your circuits is analog.

So I added UMC tech file into cds.lib and created a new library with the tech file attached to it. However when I run ADE, the model libraries are not automatically attached and I need to do it manually. For TSMC there were done for me. Did I forgot to do anything or how do I fix this?

Thanks
