Hi,

I'm looking for a way to switch between a 60V battery (Chemical) and 60V from an external DC source.

I want this circuit to sense 2 signals, one from a push button, which i'll use to manually disconnect the external source and use the battery.
The other signal to sense is when the chemical battery finishes buildup or at lease 90% of it.

How can this be implemented?

Thanks

First you may use a simple circuit using two diodes to combine the battery and the external DC source, that’s a situation for the higher voltage source to provide the necessary current to the load.
So later you may connect or disconnect the external source or the battery without interrupting the load current.

Thanks.

Is there a chip to do this switching?

I'll send two signals to this chip as a condition to switch.

Do analog switches applicable in this case?

I found this chip:

If you can afford a open connection during transition, a simple DPDT relay would also serve the purpose.

Unfortunately, I can't afford this during transition.

Do analog switches (the one I mentioned in the previous post) or multiplexers work in this case?

If we are using 2 diodes there’s no need for an external command.

Thanks Mister,

I don't want the battery to supply any current till I give a command to switch from the external source to it.

In my application, I have to receive two signals (Conditions) to switch, beside turning off the external source.

A simple circuit may use some P MOSFETs and NPN bipolar transistors.

Connecting the external generator using a push button need to add some components to the proposed circuit, so it’s more simple just to use a simple toggle switch.
