How to calculate the loss of the triac, conduction and switching?
I need to switch 4 x 650W heating elements, each with a one **broken link removed** triac.
Thermoregulation with skipped half wave
How do I know the loss of the triac switching and conduction losses.
Basically, my point is that, I have to deal with cooling assuming that I will have 4 pieces together and the triac will be switched together 0-2,6 kW

The main triac losses are the forward voltage of the triac (from datasheet) times the average current through each triac. There are no significant switching losses at line frequencies. The data sheet has a curve (Fig 3) showing dissipation versus current and conduction angle.

That device will need the tab soldered to a large copper pad on the circuit board to dissipate the heat.

Is this operating from 220V or 110V?
