hi

how to sum complex impedance matrices of n-port networks? by equations. i would use matlab, or similar program. these impedances are frequency dependent, so the matrices have to be given at lots of frequency point, i guess.
do these have to have the same number of ports, or its enough if i connect them at few or different number of ports? see the picture.

i have some n-port networks, 2...10 matrices. i would like to get the resulting impedance matrix between the input and the output of the chain. this is for PCB power plane modelling.

is there a paper or book about it? (my school books just mentioned these for chain characteristics, but nothing more)
