Hi Ppl

My Name is Vamsi, I want to buy an FPGA Evaluation Kit
Could any one guide me which is best for educational treatment
I need to use
1> Analog Converters on board along with
2> Digital Gates and also need some
3> DSP capabilities.
What could be the cost that fits to above requirements.
Basic prototyping is what i need

it depends on which FPGA you want to use with spartan3 (xc400) it approximately arround 6000-10000 depend on DSP capabilities u want to add.

Can you elaborate on "add DSP features"
Is the Kit customizable to our needs
Also tell me whether can i do FFT algorithms with in the FPGA
(I'm not familiar, since DSP will be a form of software algorithms, which means that there should be some sort of processor to do this work, Am I correct)

Search in Xilinx website itslef. Lots of boards are already developed for various requirements.
Enough documentation of each is also available while you purchase any boards.

The best solution at the moment is the Altera board :
https://www.altera.com/b/build-embedded-processor-in-fpga.html?f=hp&k=g1 that is less than $50 it has everything you asked for and give you the opportunity to use a soft processor (NIOS) as well as altera's SW.


The other cheap solution is the Xilinx's Spartan 3A board from Avnet

Of course you can go for more advanced and expensive devices, but these 2 are perfect units for learning FPGA based on your requirements.
