Hi
I am experimenting with SMPS, half bridge, i would like to create >600V out @ Pout 100W
I am using an ETD39,split primairy total 25 turns, the secondairy is a single coil 100 turns ,i used a full bridge rectifier on the output with an extra coil between the bridge + output and the output cap (for reducing ripple) . I discovered after blowing up the bridge that there are voltage peaks of twice the output voltage at the diode bridge output, should i remove the extra coill and put my output cap directly on the bridge ?
If i would like higher voltages : should i use multiple secondary windings and bridges, or should i use voltage doubling technices ? (this would be easier since i don't need extra windings then)
For now i am still using a signal generator connected to a low side fet driver -> 1:1:1:pulse transformer.
After this testing i would like to go for a TL494 or SG3525 any comments on this choice ?
Vscale 100V/dev hscale 5us/dev voltage at bridge+ / coil node
